AMADA AUSTRIA

In the mid-eighties, the Japanese AMADA Group decided to establish a production site for bi-metal band saw blades and press brake tooling in Europe. After a thorough investigation of all the possible sites, AMADA chose the one in Lower Austria - in the town of Ternitz, about 60 km south of Vienna.

After completion of the construction phase from 1986 until mid-1987 and after installation and commissioning of the manufacturing plant, the large-scale automated production of bi-metal band saw blades was started in July 1987.

In October 1988, the production of press brake tools for sheet metal working was started.

In the spring of 2001 work began on the development of the works in Ternitz with the objective of creating a new prodction line for the manufacture of carbide-tipped band saw blades alongside the existing product group of bi-metal band saw blades. Production of carbide-tipped band saw blades was successfully launched in the spring of 2003.

As a result of extensive know-how and long-standing experience in the production of high-quality saw bands and press brake tools, AMADA Austria GmbH not only satisfies the customers' wishes with optimal solutions based on an innovative, flexible and customer-oriented corporate policy, but has also been well established on the international markets for many years. Supreme quality and punctuality are the standards that count for the company. In order to meet these highly responsible and demanding requirements, AMADA Austria GmbH has a state-of-the-art plant and equipment, as well as flexible, motivated and highly qualified employees.

The high quality of products manufactured here is guaranteed by the quality assurance system in accordance with ISO 9001, which was established in January 1997 and is certified by Lloyd's Register. Our worldwide satisfied customers know - AMADA stands for high quality.
